Argh! I knew I should have posted my all-Canadian show earlier - Bobby Babylon has beaten me to it, and he's not even Canadian! Some nice selections there, Bobby - especially "Johnny Rocksteady". Personally, I can't stand Bedouin Soundclash though. About as reggae as dipping Oreos in milk.

Sleeper sorry for beating you to the punch. I hope you still put your Canadian show up as well. Might learn about some new bands. Any opinion on One Night Band? I really enjoyed their live show a few months ago. Also played a show with the Afterbeat as well a few years ago. Nice folks! My first impression of Bedouin Soundclash was sort of like oh another sublime reggae hybrid. A friend convinced me to buy their latest album a few years ago. And an appreciation sort of grew out of listening to their album.

Oh Canada! One problem Mr. Babylon - I can't get the "Subscribe with ITunes" link to work. Is it a problem on my end or on yours? (And I have been having problems with my end lately... I think it was a weeks worth of English food that did it to me)

Toyan - How The West Was Won ~ in the mix New foundation mix up for listen or download at bmc.podomatic.com . This time showcasing a wicked early dancehall album by the late great Ranking Toyan: How The West Was Won (Greensleeves, 1981). In this mix I've mixed all Toyan tracks together with their vocal counterparts in order of the original album. All Junjo productions inna early 80s stylee. As usual, no full tunes, shorter pieces mixed together, resulting in a lifely mix of about 28 minutes of early dancehall niceness. For info on where to get the tunes in case you want to (what I can imagine in case you don't have 'm already) and additional info about the mix see my description on the page at the above link or this direct link: bmc.podomatic.com/entry/2007-03-22T15_21_14-07_00 Tracks: 1a. Michael Prophet - Gunman 1b. Toyan - How The West Was Won 2a. Hugh Mundell - Jacqueline 2b. Toyan - African Ting 3a. Wailing Souls - Fire House Rock 3b. Toyan - Big Showdown 4a. Johnny Osbourne - Baccara 4b. Toyan - Toyan On The Go 5a. Michael Prophet - Never Leave Me Lonely 5b. Toyan - Lover Man Style 6a. Johnny Osbourne - Ice Cream Love 6b. Toyan - Children Children 7a. Wailing Souls - Bandits Taking Over 7b. Toyan - Capital Offence 8a. Wailing Souls - Act Of Affection 8b. Toyan - Pope In A Di Corner 9a. Barry Brown - Sweet Sixteen 9b. Toyan - Tribute To Entertainer 10a. Wailing Souls - A Fool Will Fall 10b. Toyan - Reggae Gone International If you're interested, check it out! Let me know when you've enjoyed the mix!

Podomatic has been having some serious probs this week G. My cast finally went up courtesy of a mate at 5.30am the other day. It's way too busy with USA and UK logging on. Everyone there is getting fed up. In the last weeks I've had a day where no downloads went out, Stats dissapeared and then when a week or so after that I upgraded to Pro + the payment went through via paypal but the account didn't update and i was still on the old service, but paying for the new one. that took them 4-5 days to sort out, which thankfully they did.

Likewise G, I've uploaded a show this morning through their ftp server and its come up on 'My Podcast' page but its not uploaded to the actual page for people to download. Also their home page has been down this morning so I guess that explains the problems....so just gotta wait and keep on trying... Looking forward to hearing your lovers mix when you do get it through.

Vexing...
