Won 9 or so 7 inches from jahtmuzik for $1 - $5 each and after 3 weeks never heard from him. Just got a PM that his Paypal account was hacked and he is going to have to relist all of the auctions . I asked him when he get's the new Paypal account to notify me and I can send payment then. Never heard back.

Lionvibes
A couple of days ago i bought a 7'' from Lionvibes...paid 25£ , yesterday i saw the same single relisted at 125£ so i asked them why the 7'' i paid 25£ was relisted again for 125£ and them answer me that there was an error and OBVIOUSLY i had to know it was impossible to have that 7'' for 25£. So it was sold out before i could have a chance to decide something...and i had no messages or advise that there was an error. No refound yet
funny way to run things

I have visited this forum quite frequently lately but never bothered to register, but seeing as the forums I'm registered at don't have a thread like this the time has finally come... I want to advise people to avoid the user teddypickles at any cost...I bought a copy of Bunny Lie Lie - Natty Youthman 12" from him which was listed as Mint and unplayed but when I got it it had a lot of visible scratches and was very dirty. Since I got it real cheap and there was no major faults I left neutral feedback. This is the message he sent to me afterwards: "You scandanavian buyers ares the worset!ive had problems in past and youve just seales it. i wont ever sell to another scandanavian buyer. im selling 20,000 records i dont have time to clean to everyone, you paid £2 for it!i sent it out to within a week, i packed it well, i didnt overcharge on postage and choose to leave a neutral becuase you had to clean a bit of dirt off the vinyl??? Are you stupid or what? you are a pest and you left a neutral you twat."After replying to this I was also informed that I am a "dweeb" and have "no class or balls". Didn't care too much about the record being in worse condition than described but he turned out to be a really unpleasant guy to deal with. AVOID.

I saw actually going to bid on that one, Nino. But then I forgot the auction an cussed myself for missing it.
Welcome to the forum, by the way. I'm sure you'll enjoy the visit far more than that horrible horrible SkaWars.

Just won a few tunes from a seller in JA, got a bit of money spare so thought I'd risk it.
I tried to pay and there was a problem with paypal where I have to get verified or summat as we've spent almost 1700 quid in the last 12 months and need to get a code from a bank statement.
So I sent the seller a polite mail and wait til you see the reply I just got. Needless to say he can stuff his records now:

Dear wickiwacki-sound,
Hi
Sorry for the slight delay in payment - I am having a problems with PayPal as follows:
This payment will put you over the PayPal account £1,700.00 GBP sending limit.
You have sent £1,698.70 GBP with your PayPal account.
Your remaining sending limit is £1.30 GBP.
To remove this sending limit permanently, please get Verified.
I'm sorting this out on Monday to get verified and will send payment immediately after that.
Thanks
Gordon ""
I can't believe this. I have good feedback and always pay on time except for when a problem crops up.
I may have had a lucky escape on the grading too if that's how he does business.

yeah man LIONVIBES is top of my sh+t list... keeps grading tunes at "EX" then when i get them they are VG- !! then he acts like he's doing a favour taking them back. (when they are already generally twice the price they should be) Not a great way to keep the money flowing in i woulddn't have thought.

The fella from Lionvibes must visit this forum because he has really upped his game in my opinion. I bought a few tunes from him earlier this year listed at VG+ or above, and they ALWAYS had pops and ALWAYS had surface noise. However, some of the newer records that he has graded have been spot on.
The only qualm I have with his service (and its only a small one really) is that no matter what day you buy your records on, or what price it is, he will only ever send them on a Friday. They always arrive next day though.
While I'm at it, I'd like to raise and praise tboneseletor and tambasamba. Their tunes are always as described, never faulty and dispatched promptly.

I've only bought a few bits from Matt at Lionvibes but they've always been as described and sent quite quickly.

Matt's a nice guy but spends a lot of time in JA producing music out there and has an assistant to do the work when he's not around. Hence maybe the slow mailing and on occasion record left out from my order. I too have had grading problems in the past but lately the records have been as described.

seems its more a grading issue i guess with 2 different people&ears theres bound to be some differences in judgement and quality service luckily then he mostly uploads some clips which comes in handy so this grading issue should be solved now for the rest i know matt is following this topis so im sure he will take some measures to improve his quality&service

Personally , i haven't bought many records from Lionvibes...mostly were described as Ex and i recived as described , once i bought a VG and it was VG/VG+...can't say that the grading system is wrong!
Also shipping prices are ok , no overcharge...i don't like overcharge and it happens too much on ebay! i have a long list of people who try to overcharge shipping prices!!!
I had a single problem with him...described up here...i got back my money , sadly i haven't got the tune i bought but happened also to me to make confusion with things.
Ok...prices are High but who can complain? it's getting harder everyday to find orig. rare tunes and everyone can decide if take them or not...i check lionvibes almost everyday and in 5 years i bought no more than 8/10 records there...it's all about the right tune at the right moment....we can't expect to find it everyday!
So...i'd say buy with confidence from Lionvibes , don't get angry if prices are too high for you...if prices are like that , it mean that someone is ready to pay it.

jesus, that's a bit out of hand...... maybe he was having a bad day, or hit the bottle a little too much. i bought some 7"s off of wicki-wacki not too long ago, they were in pretty decent shape and got here to FL relatively quickly for regular Jamaica Post (about 4 weeks). it was a smooth transaction, no problems at all. it just goes to show how different an experience buyers can have with the same seller. Ok - goes like this: (1) UK seller lists rare tubbys dub LP - i ask quality he says excellent (2) bidding goes too high and i bow out - however LP is relisted - I bid again and am successful (3) seller then sends me a message saying he apologises but record is actually defective so he must withdraw it and by the way would i like to buy a copy of a bootleg copy of the LP for 100 quid!!!!! (4) seems like some funny man business going on here - why would he suddenly discover after it had been won for the 2nd time that it was defective? - and why in the same breath would he offer a bootleg white lable version that was doing the rounds a few yrs ago for 10 quid........for 100quid! (5) hope no one else has been fooled - as they "a fool and his money are easily parted"

Actually that could be considered as slander, only reason I don't ask the mod to remove it is that no one takes you serious on this board
