Keep well clear of an ebayer called Golddub. I paid for an item and he never sent it, even after assuring me he would!

I apologise. Just had a look through some of your old posts and seen you are used to much more cerebral stuff than my cheap little quip.

UPDATE ON EBAY-ER SOULHEAVEN: Bought 2 45s, and AFTER 32 days from payment passes(!?!), he sends a notice saying he's shipping! When it gets here, the box has one single, not the marley 7"---I suspect he got a better price and decided to flip me off.
Avoid this prick.

MRBT, . He also does not answer either e-mails(numerous) or several phone calls. His name is Hutton, and he owes me a record.

Did anybody bought to "TELEGIFT" the man is from Jamaica, and the orders use to take 6 weeks to arrive, I'm waiting 2 orders from them, I'd never lost any from them, but I'd received and LP from other jamaican seller on 2 weeks for the same shipping cost. Even the man use other scratched or old records to enforce the packages doing them more heavy than if used cardboards, and of course doing the shipping more expensive because the weight.

I won Mittoo's Black Onion (Studio One 7") for around 10 USD. Today I got a message from PayPal that the money was refunded because the seller had LOST THE ITEM (!!). On E-bay there was picture and soundclip.... but he have lost the item.....
Anyone who has a similar experience?
Any suggestion what to do?

they do that when they wanted more money than the ending bid.. i don't think ebay would bother .. (& how do you prove that he didn't lose the item?.. you could search his house but he could give it to a friend to hide! and you can search his friends' houses.. but i guess it's not worth it for a black onion)

"they do that when they wanted more money than the ending bid.."
yes ephteeay, that was my first thought as well....but sure i can not prove anything at all......
obviously it should not be that easy for shite sellers with no morals just to refund the money if they don't get what they expect for an item..........

we are talking about 'Black Onion' by Jackie Mittoo with 'Hokey Jokey" by Larry & Alvin on the flip. Ive been after Black Onion for a long time. One of my fave artist on the great 'Things A Come Up To Bump' rhythm'........... yeah, but have to agree 45 - there are far worse things in life than beeing ripped of for a tune on e-bay.......life must go on after all

Happily, after phone calls to his home Mr. Hutton shipped the Marley 7" (mint 70s Tuff Gong I would say re-pressed in Brooklyn or Bronx), and hopefully we can withdraw the mutual knives of negative ratings left by both parties. He seemed a rather shy older gentleman(what me ah saying---bet he's around my age), and in an absent-minded way admitted he still had the record. No malice or avarice it seemed, just sloppy service.

hi guys
I'm sick and tired to be robbed by some EBAY sellers with the shipping cost. I won an LP for 5.50 GBP, and the seller want 9.00 GBP for shipping to Argentina. I use to buy records from worldwide all the time and know well that the Airmail from UK to me cost less than 5.00 GBP, why must I pay 4.00 Extra?
Too much bad sellers, no way

I can see that he buys alot of stuff at our store (Amoeba in Hollywood.) I can also see
I was in LA a couple years ago to see the big show (Alton, Pat Kelly, Owen Gray, Dennis Alcapone, etc) and I stopped into your store. I found Dolly Parton's "Northern Soul" 45 on Monument for $1.00, saving me something like $79 off the going rate, thanks!

Off topic I know but: It's Don't Drop Out/Control Yourself-Monument 127. It's the regular Nashville session guys playing on it, and it's written by some C&W guy, but it's a stompy white girlgroup sound, 0% country in it's execution. More of a semi-rare novelty than a big floorpacker. I like the B-side better, though it's kinda floaty and not as frantic as the A-side, which I think was what got played Up North in the 70s. It's kinda like the other blue eyed Nashville girl records by Gail Wynters and Barbara Mills. wow, good thing i don't usually price the 45s, didn't know dolly had a northern groover, though i once heard a dj drop "jolene" to great effect.

Watch out for bidder "SOPHIESCOOLDAD"! This bidder won a Jackie Mittoo 45 from me on October 14 and has still not made payment or made any attempt to contact me, 11 days later! I've sent him an invoice and several messages, and nothing! Not even a "sorry I haven't paid yet, I'm low on cash, I can pay in a week." note from the guy! What a big waster of time! peace.

I had a lot of trouble with soulolion. He sent me a bunch of records and ALL were seriously overgraded. Like an EX that had so much surface abrasion the music was almost drowned out. If he says Mint, he means VG+, if he says VG+ he means F--. My very polite and reasonable complaints fell on dead ears. I won't be going there again! Beware.

Skabado
I do report this for a friend of mine. That´s what he wrote about the transaction with the named above one over at Pama:
"As he told me in one of his abusive e-mails after selling me a skimmed, clicking record, that he had gradedvg++ plays ex" he is on holidays now. I never had problems with him before, but as I can' t leave negative feedback because he threatened me to do the same with me (1000+ pos feedback) though I immediately payed, I' d like to tell people here. This kind of friendliness is what you can expect after paying 30 pounds for absolute rubbish and sending him a very kind mail that you were not fully satisfied with the deal:
"Hello, firstly if you want to leave negative feedback go ahead,i will leave the same for you no problem.. dont threaten me with negative feedback your not talking to some kind of school kid here" " "

Re: Soulheaven. Can't say I never warned you.
Telegifts parcels can be slow. I have bought 2 lots from him and received both. It took 2 months for 1 parcel to arrive.

No I have not dealt with the guy for sometime. When i gave him a negative some people on this board said they had no problems with him but have since changed their minds. As soulselector points out he is not the most organised. I don,t think he is crooked but when things go wrong he just buries his head in the sand.
