well x-amount of vocalists (most refer to themselves as "artists" these days) would not have been what they were without Coxsone Dodd.
no he wasn't perfect in recording or business practices but he built and kept the building and business that distributed who knows how many names and tunes..
good example of what "producer" means -- find a way to combine elements and make something.. produce something
lots of people can talk $hIt but the man made it happen
same goes for Duke Reid, etc..

Good one and on a similar vein if there had been no juha there would have been no lovely lovely S1 Archives series Maybe or maybe not, Nick and Mario...I'm reliant on (respectively) the Royal Mail and the Bundespost for what I posted to you (and others) on Saturday morning! Those S1 Archives are great stuff (like the artwork too) - I have 4 or 5 and have Ian to thank for those...

Quoting Mario: mankind flew to the moon 1969, packets in europe seem to be distributed by the good old stage coach sometimes ............A favourite anology amongst people: The Americans can put a man on the moon, yet we can't find a cure for the common coldI wonder how many times I hear that one trotted out each winter
