Very nice, with the exception of that rather weak Errol Holt track. Don't know the Pebbles side; is this the same Pebbles who used to DJ for Lloydie Coxsone and cut a version of Dunkley the Man's 'Little Way Different'?

Speaking of Errol Dunkley: Penny, who produced the other cut of "You're gonna need me" you played at Ringo's bash in August last year? I have one on Moodies Music 7" but it is nothing to compare with the original or the cut you played. Thank you

The original of this is the Joe Gibbs rock steady cut from 1967. However, the version I played was 'Three In One', an even better medley of 'Please Stop Your Lying'. 'You're Gonna Need Me' and 'I'm Coming Home', produced by Rupie Edwards in 1971.

My session yesterday evening was in the 'Smokeyroom' or in another words at Ron's place so it was quite dominated by the sounds of Lee Perry. Haven't got a clue anymore of what exactly was played, but I do know most of it was good. ;D

Yes Penny - the Pebbles is the Pebbles who DJ for Lloydie Coxsone... I'm not sure if the track is the same as the one you mention, but it's a very dread message evoking the return to Africa and centred around the sentiments "me an babylon we are no friend." (Nothing unusual then!!) I must disagree with your view of the Errol Holt cut as weak - personally I love the dubwise excursion - which goes off into the sort of deep, percussive steppas mash-up to which I am more than partial!
