U Roy is playing live in Edinburgh on 26th April. Anybody got any idea what to expect? Will he be backed by a band, or will he be toasting over some tunes being spun by a DJ? If its a band, does he have a regular backing band?

We just hosted Daddy Roy in San Francisco three weeks ago, and he put on a top performance. He was supposed to be backed by the Fully Fullwood band with Tony Chin and Santa Davis. But the band that showed up to back him was billed as the Santa Davis All Star Band and featured Fabian Cooke on bass and Santa on Drums.
URoy threw out his classics in fine form riding classic Studio 1 riddims and was definatley getting a strong crowd response all night. Scientist came to mix the show and had the lowend thumping as hard as I've ever heard it at this venue.
I'm not sure who would be backing him in Edinborough, but I can assure you that Daddy Roy will come correct with a band or a Selector backing him. You should definatley make an effort to reach. Respect, MK

I'd love to go to that. Is he playing in the Midlands at all?
