Thanks a lot bmc, that is a really sweet riddim and some fine vocals over the top. I had the Perfect one but not the others.

Right on BMC,,, Really favoring the wrong law, ganja spliff, some a sell out, never too late, the barber & one don ;D - this is the [vocal] range when I think Turby is at his best. Don't know too much about dycr, is he considered almost a modern day dub poet? Uhh, didn't i just 'A' list almost all the songs on the mix? That don't happen often. Last ting - who's that on the mix up mix up? That you pulling the strings Marc Like how you linked the songs, snappy, didn't miss a beat

DYCR is a dub poet who has had a few hits in the JA charts. His earlier tunes (the first i heard were on Pot of Gold and The Morgans' label around 98/99) were more on target but it seems a lot of his current lyrics are pretty odd as he tends to rely more on the sounds of the words more than on their meanings.Seems like the Jamaicans also like his sense of humor, like on that hit where he speaks about a JA gardener who is expelled by the US customs because he said he came there to cut bush and the officers understand cut Bush, or something along those lines! i have several interviews with the man, i can look for more info...

Cheers ian, glad you liked it. The full Junior Kelly and Turbulence are on those CDs (#3) I sent you. Hey John! You indeed favor quite a bit of the tunes then! ;D My persoanl favourites are the Junior Kelly and Turbulence, followed by the Perfect. Yeah, I did this myself with some simple amaturish cutting and pasting, but overall the flow of the riddim is ok, so it'll do. Thanks for checking it out. Did you manage to get my discs from your friend yet? Very curious on your choices of the killer tracks! Cheers!

Yup Marc - not a bad one in the bunch - maybe I didn't go crazy for the Jr Kelly one since it was more on the love side, and I get probably too picky when it comes to love songs. Now that Wrong Law - that one's got me hooked. BMC[AP] = Better Must Cut and Paste,,,you nailed this one Aint reached my friend yet - hopefully this weekend. Be happy to report back and give you my 2 sensi on the best of.... Always ready to hear some more mixes Thanks very much Lankou2 - that's a funny one about Bush cutting. I'm still trying to figure out if I like that dub poet stylee,,,I enjoy the sense of humor part but I can't [totally] sell myself on the delivery just yet. The interview stuff sounds cool. Any transcriptions yet?

Cheers ian, glad you liked it. The full Junior Kelly and Turbulence are on those CDs (#3) I sent you. Aha, of course, if I include your cd's then I have virtually everyting thats come out of JA last year! I was listening to your vol.6 earlier and I notice that track 8 is listed wrong. Its another version of Smarties riddim after the Warrior King tune. Whats this one? Many thanks again for these discs, they are a superior collection. Cheers, Ian
