I just got these..and man..these are nice sets..I have enjoyed the rocksteady one a lot..the reggae rarities is fantastic as well..
You know..for all the slack that Trojan gets..they still put out some nice box sets for a decent price..
I have: 12" Box Set Rastafari Roots Rocksteady Rarities Reggae Rarities
On Order: Ska Rarities Nyabinghi
Still To Get: Revive Rocksteady Originals Instrumentals Dance Hall Roots Roots & Culture Dub Rarities
any others I should add to my list?

Agree with you on the Rocksteady Rarities set, that is one of their best releases.
The box set 'Haul & Pull Up Selecta' is a good early dancehall selection.

As for ones that aren't on your list I dug out DJ's last week and there are lots of goodies on there. Also Rare Grooves has a very strong selection. C.D

There aren't too many really weak box sets IMO - if these are a decent price, it's almost worth a gamble on any of them. Apart from the dreaded " Ska Revival" (too many live tracks, too much 2-tone type stuff, really a flimsy rationalisation for this being a Trojan box set), only the " Seventies" and " X-Rated" immediately spring to mind as not really being up to the mark. IMVHO of course

Though at least the weakness of the ORIGINALS lies mainly in its repetition ( a whopping 33 out of 50 appear on other box sets), Lawrence - the tunes themselves are mainly pretty good ones

I only have this as a 2 CD, are you sure there is a box set (3 discs) ?. Every track is a killer, so I would buy it again just for the 3rd disc

I have it as 3lp box-set, but I think there'll be the same number of tunes on the 2cd release. There's only 4 or 5 tunes per side of the 3lp's

Have just got the Roots Reggae box, and am very pleased at selection, some duplication elsewhere it's true, but still an excellent compilation.
Only quibble is the poor sound quality, but that goes without saying for much of Trojan's output, the Haul An Pull Up 2xCD and the Gregory Isaacs Cool Ruler 2xCD being exceptions.

Late joining too, but I'd put in another vote for the Rare Groove box. A huge vote for Ska Rarities too, if it hasn't already been mentioned. Zap, didn't you recommend this when it came out?

I waited over 3 months for Studio One Roots 2 - which I'd ordered online from a UK retailer... I'd almost forgotten all about it by the time it did arrive - worth waiting for though
