Other shows coming up in the Newcastle area: Easy Star All Stars - 27 August, Carling Academy The Aggrolites - 18 September, The Cluny Third World - 5 October, The Sage Boss Sounds Festival - to be announced From what the JHC guys are saying, the festival should feature some very big names Maybe not as exciting as other cities, but better than most small towns!

Should be a good night PA - Unfortunatley I won't be in the country at the time. Saw him last year in JA and he put a good show on, still full of energy even if the voice is not what it used to be - but he has had an operation for throat cancer - or something like that. Still definatley worth going to see - Have a nice night ;D

Yes, Doctor! We saw King Yellow in Germany a couple of years ago, and he can still rock the mike. Should be great in the Cluny.
Enjoy your "unfortunate" hols ;D

Rubba, here's my more or less standard response to this question:
Just heard that the Star and Shadow cinema, just up the hill from the Cluny, is showing a season of reggae films - if you're still around on the Friday night, they're kicking off with Countryman.

Turns out Countryman's screening as part of a roots n dub session: Should make it a little more interesting than the movie alone. Why, you even get "decor"
