Shame to see Hapag-Lloyd Express stopped their flights from Newcastle to Cologne - I was planning a trip out in a couple of months' time. Clan Stalawatt will be going somewhere else now.
Doubt I'd have made it to the Greedy Gals thing anyway, sadly - I'm not sure if German licensing laws allow one year olds to stay up late, and I think Mama S would be a bit annoyed if I left her with Junior while I went dancing...

You´re too kind, John...I´m there altough me thinks shortly after Carnival most people are still sick and will not attend..we will see If you really planning to visit Cologne with your family one day, papastalawatt, it´s no problem that my best girl mate could take care for your little one. She has a totally different music taste like me and takes often care about her little niece and nephew and speaks fluent English. Thanks, Joe!

I'm afraid we're likely to head elsewhere now, home, though for no other reason than the convenience of jumping on a cheap flight from a local airport. Cologne will return to our list of places to spend more time in the future. Thanks for the offer anyway.

I assume he's buried in the Melaten Friedhof, along with many other celebrated worthies? (is Dr. Adenauer in there ...and Willi Osterman ...and the Millowitsch clan?)

That´s correct, Joe and IMO a very interesting stop on a sightseeing tour in Cologne. BTW if I follow my current mood it will become a dubby and a Niney night

That´s correct, Joe and IMO a very interesting stop on a sightseeing tour in Cologne. BTW if I follow my current mood it will become a dubby and a Niney night I'm told it's a lovely peaceful place to visit - thing is it's just far enough out of town to make walking there impractical and I always pass it on the Strassenbahn or in the car, because I'm on my way into town... I'll get there one day (while I'm still breathing, of course ;D)

Was a nice evening. I was astonished because so much people attended one day after Aschermittwoch. Around 80-100 I would say. I was spinning the last tune around 3 o´clock. But it must have been looked very sportive or funny because they ruined the system at Karneval and so we had no bass monitor speakers and there was a difference between the height of the decks of roundabout 80cm/1m. We couldn´t change it because the cables were too short so we had to place a chair between the decks to step on because without we couldn´t see the record on the higher deck. Well, we managed it nicely but we had to jump and run a lot ;D and I was nearly crashing on the decks while dancing and spinning on this chair It will get fixed now. Once again: I hate Karneval.

DJing is not as glamourous as people think eh Dani? Very pleased to hear you had a good turn out. That is most of the battle. Perhaps word got around about your talent following the last one. Respect as ever Baldy

Good news, Dani I had feared that, so close to the ever-wonderful ;D ;D Karneval that folk would have been too tired / broke / fed up with Remmi Demmi to "come out and play" The success of the last one must have spread. So round 3 will be even bigger

Glad the night is becoming a big success Dani!
If I was in Cologne, other than going to the Greedy Gals night and drinking lots of nice German beer I would also take some photos of the cathedral which is a very impressive old building.

Respect Gordy I'd expect you to climb up the spiral stone staircase on the inside of one of the towers too - then upwards to the very top and take some pictures from there... The cathedral only took something like 632 years to build...which is about how long it felt it took me to get up there a few years ago... Still, I'd earned my beer after that...

Thanks guys! It´s a nice place. Good for drinking and smoking, for my personal pleasure, this is ok too. And I think it´s possible to see a part of our big D. if you only step out of the location, Gordy.
