Here's some nice pics someone took at the Meditations / George Nooks show mentioned above (LMS cancelled): www.jamaicanrebel.com/albums/highlife2007/index.htmlThe first pic from someone with a mic is the mc of Pow Pow Movement, who were the sound for the evening, then some Nooks (with hat) and Meditations. Don't know who all the others are, though the dancing dread is a regular at reggae shows in Amsterdam.

Mar 28 - Wailing Souls, Melkweg, Amsterdam And another cancelled show. Damn. Didn't have so much cancellations over the last couple of years, but 2007 starts off bad from that point of view (no Gyptian, LMS, Wailings Souls, Abysinnians, Lutan Fyah). There has been another nice show added though, the return to the Netherlands of Mr. Fix It: Jun 29 - Winston Francis meets the High Notes, P60, Amstelveen Nice!

I've read that complains from people living near the Westerpark caused the festival to go indoor again, probably HMH. Don't know how reliable that info is though... .

I saw The Heptones last year : though the show was really pleasant, they were nowhere near well-reharsed enough to get the live recording out on album format, like it had been planned. BL and LS 's voices didn't really blend that well, the third vocalist who filled in for the night had never practised with them. the previous time i'd heard LS solo, he sounded better, no doubt about it.

First names for Two 77 Splash are circulating, though nothing officially announced yet. So far a treat for the dancehall lovers with: Sizzla Beenie Man Collie Budz Stephen Marley Location mentioned was Westergasfabriek after all. Hope that's indeed the case!
