I was hoping someone could tell me of a happening New Year's Eve in the north. I was originally intending to go to London for the ska do at Cafe Prov in Herne Hill, but transport, digs etc prove too much money.
I am therefore looking for an alternative in the north of England. Somewhere relaxed, playing vintage Jamaican music with some R&B and soul chucked in.

My gaff I have no plans for NYE either. I'm sick of going to Scotland to visit relatives and having to listen to the Proclaimers and pipe bands all night. The copious amounts of free alcohol are okay though..... Respect Gordy

Looks like we'll be a few doors down the road at a neighbour's house (Thinks: I wonder if this neighbour will be up for our long-promised, drunken rendition of Pat Kelly's HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE? on that night?)
