well, as i don't care too much for x-mas, one of the most depressing times of the year, imho, it should be a hit & run London stay for me, given the price of decent accomodation, one day one night one day, then off! i've never come north especially for a concert but for that one, why not ?

Good luck trying to find the venue - it is an obscure one. Head for the new Wembley Arch & it is kind of underneath. Then find your way round the back of the building for Silver Spoon (formerly Ellas)

Who's up for this?
And who'd like to offer me a place at their Christmas dinner table as there's no buses back to the sticks from Newcastle until Boxing Day. If I were to go home on Christmas Eve, the bus doesn't get into Newcastle until 7-30pm, last bus to the sticks is 6pm, so if I were to go I'd have to make a weekend of it. And I DO want to go to this one.
Respect
Gordy

And who'd like to offer me a place at their Christmas dinner table ... Shouldn't have mentioned the dinner table, Gordy. You advertised here in the past of your sizeable appetite

Cheers, Zap ! now it's time for me to get on the move if i want to make it there at a decent price ( train fare + hotel, ouch !). There often are good bargains with Eurostar but you have to resreve much in advance : way beyon my normal capacities ! i'm a willing victim of the plane & train companies !

maybe i got enthusiastic a little too fast : as is usually the case with many sites run by JA expats and their offspring in the UK and the US, the e-mail contact doesn't work. Don't they ever update their info or what ?

I've still not found a job...so all monies have to go towards paying the bills for a few weeks - no gigs, no pubs, no Christmas pressies. However, something will turn up for sure...
