i guess such gigs would happen much more easily if most of UK promoters finally decided to notice that there's life beyond the channel : pretty much sure such artists could find a continental leg to their UK (mostly english) dates. as for the visa thing, it is getting more and more difficult for JA artists to get a work visa or transit via england when they want to reach europe, especially if they don't have such a high profile and can't show papers proving that they are regular performers. just a little example : last winter, singer Josie Mel came for a coupla dates in france : he couldn't fly to london, then take the train or the plane to paris. what he had to do was fly to curacao, then to the Netherlands, then to paris !! same route for his return. there are some artists known as no-show specialists (especially when they can get a better-paid gig on the US east coast in the last minute) but there are also promoters who don't try to update their knowledge as to how the immigration laws/restrictions evolve : with this current scare going on around the world, paper work is getting tougher and tougher!

Nope, not heard a thing. Apparently Larry and his wife have tickets to be in the UK around that time, but the venue website is still advertising some rock band for the date.
