Watching those two clips one can hear that Congolese music has changed a lot. Not many do play what is called Soukous anymore. I think Kanda Bongo Man and Dr Sakis still do. I do not have any albums by Wawali Bonane, I know he was with Tabu Ley's Afrisa and that he stayed behind in the US after a tour there.
Young people in Congo are almost only interested in Fally Ipupa, Ferre Gola, JB Mpiana & Wenge BCBG, Werrason & Wenge Maison Mere and Koffi Olomide. Then there are artists like Felix Wazekwa, King Kester who have a smaller fan base.The rest like Papa Wemba, Zaiko Langa Langa etc are called "Old School" but are still reasonable popular.
