He certainly has great wealth. Unfortunately, the only good things he ever done were yesterday, ie 35 years ago.

In my youth, I dismissed him. &, there are countless JA mike MCs who've gotten waaay more plays on my turntables than he ever shall, BUT----as the years rolled on the odd song caught my ear, and he does seem a good soul.
I felt bad for him upon hearing his totally off-key singing on an appearance last year of Saturday Night Live....

a mate of mine visited Motown in Detroit yesterday, he is a bassplayer, a huge Jamerson fan, he asked to go in the Snakepit, they let him. He was standing next to the Steinway, it hadn't been played they said, since Marvin played it on "What's going on" .... except for Paul Macartney two years ago.

Didn't Paul die in a car crash in 1966?

Hmmmm.....I'm not sure the evidence really favours 1967, when you consider the clues on the cover of "Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" - particularly the date on the drum, which was photographed about April or May the date "1 ONE 1 X" must be either 9th November or 11th September, so must refer to previous year. I think that's pretty compelling evidence, don't you?

Well, basic story is here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_is_deadSo we are both right - original rumour was early 1967, but reporting that the death was in 1966. The really big rumour was 1969 as is detailed in link.
