A close friend is traveling to London on business starting Thursday and is seeking entertainment while there. Any events schedule for this upcoming weekend? He's heard me talk so much about the London reggae scene. Now he wants to experience it himself.
Any and all recommendations appreciated!

He might start at Brixton Water Lane at a venue called Hootenanny, for a live performance from skaster Maroon Town and sounds of ska from Penny Reel and swing from Chris Tofu.

Thanks I. Already sent him that info. Sounds like a good time. My friend Joe Stearns will be hanging with Ted Fletcher who used to work with Joe Meek back in the day. You may know Ted. Joe is marketing Ted's Orbitsound speaker to the US.

Apparently it's Joe and Ted's big adventure. The other Joe is dead I believe.

Jcom, tell your friends it starts early. I'm playing from 8pm until 10pm and Maroon Town are on straight after me. I'll be playing straight, uptempo ska. Mr Meakin aka Tofu will be spinning remix swing and ska, which basically means Louis Prima doctored in a modern studio.
It should be jumpin'.
