Thanks for that, Ian I thought the lyrics to the Upsetters' "Live Injection" were absolutely supreme and unparallelled!!! ;D ;D Or Stitt's "Look how you're sad and blue, I, King Stitt's got a new discovery for you, the one called( ) Vigorton 2 - Lord have mercy!!!" Seriously though, another populist poll, probably pollsters were asked to choose from a closed list of song lyrics. Thus, many songs with more meaningful lyrics won't have appeared. Putting any JA conscious lyrics to one side, I wonder if any Curtis Mayfield lyrics were included - or Gil Scott-Heron - assuming this was a closed list. No surprise to see a Marley line in there - after all, no populist poll is complete without Bob Marley in it, is it? (and I'm not criticising RNM here, either!) ...similar comment for Marvin Gaye's "What's Going On?" too... I'd say (assuming a closed list again) that this was a lost opportunity to find out what folk (or Grauniad readers) really think... ...and "No", I'm not going to start a "Top 100 JA Lyrics" poll ;D

'Positively Fourth Street' by Bob Dylan is the best lyric.
