Yes Ekki, I've just been listening to it for the first time in many many years and was surprised that I can still remember many of the lyrics and enjoyed singing along to Gordon Gano's teenage anxieties. I love the sound of the acoustic bass on this lp aswell.

Does it still appeal to the angst-ridden youth of today I wonder??? Don't think so! They listen to hip hop and so called r & b, and a few may be to those british band s like Arctic Monkeys etc.

Just thinking of "Real Life" by Magazine makes me feel all pimply and maladjusted.

"Love Bites" by Buzzcocks is my favourite time machine. And a certain album by the Finnish band Se ("It").
"Hallowed Ground" was my favourite Violent Femmes album at the time, but I haven't heard it for years.

The Descendents : I Don't Wanna Grow Up. can't get more teenage than that, imho.loads of angst too! those were the days before skate pop punk became an international boring formula used on countless ads and soundtracks.
