I tried listening to this album a few times down the years, but just couldn't get into it. While I could see the quality in it, I couldn't understand what all the fuss had been about - maybe it was simply so left-field when it was first releaseed (1959, wasn't it?) I just found this album on my work laptop and have had a very enjoyable listen to it this last hour....great stuff! I won't say I'm converted yet, I'd have to listen again...and then again, probably

LIke all of the greatest albums (BSpear - St One Presents, Miles Davis - In A Silent Way, Beefheart - Lick My Decals Off, Baby) it takes time to percolate. Creeps up, and suddenly - wow!
