I scrambled most of the way up that volcanic slope just behind Cesaria's head.
Is this a brand new release, Bedward? Haven't seen it on the shelves in Jumbo's or on Stern's site.

My wife just got tickets for her show here in April.
And to top it off, they are free!!
So with the money I save, I'll be buying another one of her CDs.
I've got and really love "Cafe Atlantico". Where do I go here?

New release... Rosko I would check the self titled Cesario Evora from 1994 when she signed to Nonesuch in the USA.

That's my favourite so far, Rosko.
Next? I'ld recommend Miss Perfumado.
I saw her at the Barbican a couple of years ago. The Malagasy guitarist and singer, Modeste, shared the bill and I felt stole the show. I'm not sure that a huge theatre is the ideal venue for Cesaria. Something smokier and more intimate probably. Mind you I'm sure she'll be wonderful this time round.

I remember her at one point shuffling to the side of the stage at the Barbican and sitting down for a ciggy break while her excellent band had an extended work-out. I'm sure this was against the fire regulations but it made me wonder whether she'ld probably have sounded more compelling in a smokey club, fag in one hand, mic in the other, in Mindelo or Lisbon. I guess I'll never know but will be more than happy to be proved comprehensively wrong..
