Hugh Masekela, a legendary South African Jazz trumpeter and Rebecca Malope, the gospel star, paid a solemn musical tribute to Mhinga at the Catholic Church in Bryanston. The 27 year-old singer was found dead in a Bryanston hotel on Monday.People arrived early and walked slowly past the open casket of the R&B sensation and photographers took their last picture of Tsakane 'TK' Mhinga. The church service was a somber equivalent of TK's celebratory life. Hugh Masekela's solo trumpet performance overwhelmed the huge crowd that attended TK's funeral service, whereas, Malope delivered an impromptu church hymn at the request of the family.
Hundreds of people followed the hearse in their cars to Mhinga's last resting place at the Fourways Cemetery.
She was the neice of Yvonne Chaka Chaka.
