It was, I believe, on Specialty Gord, not Speciality.

I always make that typo.
My proper 10 to come soon, though Tutti Frutti remains at number one.

Great tunes, Gord, if a little overworked for my tastes.
However, Little Richard, Coasters, Lavern Baker. Larry Williams etc are too black to be real rock'n'roll. I'd call their sides R&B.

Good to see you rate the Wild One Johnny O'Keefe Mr Reel, he was a hell of a performer. My Mum saw him open for Bill Haley on his first trip to Australia when he tore up the Sydney Stadium and stole the show. His son is now a top-rating TV game show host.

That version of 'Wild One' aka 'Real Wild Child' is one if the greatest rock'n'roll performances; it knocks spots off of Ivan's (Jerry Ivan "JI" Allison of the Crickets) cover version.

Every old Australian rocker I speak to rates JO'K above anyone they saw - my Uncle said he once saw a show where he wore a bright yellow suit that was totally blackened by the end of the show due to all his rolling around on the stage at the Sydney Stadium (a huge zinc shed used mostly for boxing and wrestling). International guests not cutting it would soon hear the chant "We want Johhny!". He had the full rock and roll saga of a life too: car crashes, his own TV show, drink, drugs, bad comebacks, huge sideburns, a TV mini-series, the works.
