Whoa! Lets think. Loads you can't go wrong with! 'Red Black & Green', 'Everybody Loves The Sunshine' or 'Mystic Voyage' would be my suggestions but so many great albums. check this: tinyurl.com/qz33e

As Feddy says a lot of good choices to be made but for a good overview i reccomend "Shining Symbol -- The Ultimate Collection " then you can broaden afterwards. Also highly reccomended is his work with Herbie Mann in the 60's "Memphis Underground " is a must IMO C.D

Which album do I start with? anyone will do. they all usually have one stand-out track but not nothing more worthwhile than that... yet another reason to follow the hip-hop trail, since they already done all the excavation work for us, and there’s nothing to be gained by going off the beaten track. i've had loads of these lp's simply sitting there on the racks doing nothing for years, so take it easy... best off getting that greatest hit's comp.
