I bought eight discs worth of DJ Muro's Super Disco Breaks. If you like his Reggae set, you'd like these discs too. For some reason, the disco sets don't seem to show up on most mailorder sites. I bought them from a site called Jet Set in Japan. Even with Global Priority Mail shipping tacked on , they still cost me less than 10 dollars a disc.
6 hours worth of bright, fun, and kinetic hip hop mixing and moves. Like the Reggae set, there's accapella hip hop vocals projected over various breaks and samples. It's not all disco either, there's plenty of pop, r&b, and even some reggae and brazilian sounds blending round too. And there's no faux tough guy inanity - the kind of stuff that turns me off of a lot of rap and hip hop.
Highly recommended!
Now I need to track down some of his other mixes.
Anyone know if his 2 Tape Super Funky Reggae Breaks has the same tracklisting as his 2 CD Super Reggae Breaks?
