I thought of you guys and remembered to mention this song that I have on a vinyl only international 60's psychedelic pop compilation called Bring Flowers To The World. It was released by Misty Lane, a label out of Italy. I think I bought it around the summer of 2000. Anyway, the song is by a Nigerian band called The Strangers. Not sure if it's been reissued anywhere else. Here's what the liner notes say... "The african Stangers are from Nigeria, an hopelessly obscure band who released this 45 probably in 1968. The sounds are not real pop-psych and you could actually hear more influences related to the early reggae mixed with a touch of simple pop. The bad pressing of the 45 presents some noises but once you find such rarity (is this the first 60's group from Nigeria ever to appear onto a comp?...) it's not so important, right?" s35.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=1SYL04LY2A4VE3GWC12JS5UOROI just transfered it from vinyl to WAV and since my audio converter, dBpoweramp, no longer allows me to use the MP3 codec for free, I'll present it to you as a WAV. When I rip CDs using EAC, I can convert to MP3, like I did for the AKJE songs... Anyway, hope someone gets a little joy from this one.
