Does anyone know when the first part 'Forward March' was first broadcast? Cheers.

It would have been August 2002, to coincide with the 40th anniversary of independence

Joe
I've got all 3 parts. I taped all the programmes the Beeb showed at the time. When things have settled down a bit my end I would be happy to send you the tape. I'm not able to make copies otherwise I would do that.

Funny thing, though, that BBC sold the documentary to abroad broadcasting as a two-part recut. Fine otherwise, but the second part especially was a real run-through, trying to cover a bit too many subjects. Good documentary nonetheless. The program was also broadcast here in Finland, that's how I know. I had a small part to play at that as a freelance translator... Well, I don't mind admitting that I suggested the program to some people at the YLE (local BBC), and did the translation when they bought my idea (much to my surprise).
