based on soundclips i'll be letting most these pass.. was hoping to love the 'keep that light' set anyone else have these? are they of a "sounds way better on the stereo" variety? thanks --

I love the sample of the Richie Spice cut; ordered it together with the Abijah. Didn't care about the others.

I'm not too keen on the Keep That Light cuts (at least based on the samples) but I did order the new Taxi cuts on Hold On To What You've Got which sounded good, especially the Junior Kelly/DEB combination.

I also picked up the Abijah and Richie Spice cuts last week. I particularly like the Abijah one which sounded massive when played through the big speakers at Regal Records where I bought them.

Yep, it was the instantly recognisable horn intro that caught my ear then when the fat bass-line drops on its own (which it only does on the Abijah tune) it had me hooked. Maybe the tune as a whole doesn't quite live up to the intro but he conveys enough feeling to carry it off.

i actually agree with you now, and was sad to see that ernie already sold through it, and also the other piece i want now -- the spanner banner b/w kashief lindo.. but did put the slim smith in the cart for safe keeping.. i'll have to catch up with the others..
