Just spotted this record on ebay. Ska cut on one side, rocksteady on the other. Anyone know anything about this? is it a official release? Cheers, Nick

It's a Japanese bootleg I think. The soundquality is good compared to other Japanese bootlegs, probably recorded from vinyl. Still two great summertime versions,

I'm assuming the following: The Ska version - 1964, produced by Arthur 'Duke' Reid The Rocksteady version - 1968, produced by Edward 'Bunny' Lee I prefer the Ska version

Not sure who produced the 64 version off the top of my head but I don't think it was Duke Reid. Cheers for the info Zip & Zap!

I had no producer info for the Ska version myself Nick - but I got answers on this and a number of other tunes from a "Who was the producer?" question I asked over at Trojan (though it may have been on B&F... If anyone can confirm or otherwise...
