Interesting to note that the version of Michael Palmer's "Angella" on Yah Wee Gone 12" is a totally diferent recording from the title track of his LP on Vista Sounds. I can't decide which I like the best but big thanks to the Captain for giving us the opportunity to hear these tunes.

I've just visited the Captain's site for the first time. Amazing! It has been "bookmarked".

I had an idea to have a listen later, but only having 'Angela' on the Trojan Dancehall box set, I wouldn't know which of the versions it differed from. I only have it there too, Zap. I'd like to say I had the Michael Palmer album too but .... no. I have the split album with Frankie Paul but that's it. Since I still haven't moved to broadband I haven't tried the link above so that's why I ask. I love that tune! I think The Simpsons is finally getting under your skin, Zap! Don't fight it ..... ;D

well I don't know that other version from the LP either but on the same riddim, I have a roland burrel cut (on the back of the angella 12") titled "intelligence" and a ranking devon cut on yah wee gone 7" (nothing never done before the time), excellent riddim.

The Trojan Dancehall box set had the same version of Angella as the Vista Sounds LP. The Yah Wee Gone 12" version is different. Hope this helps.
