Studio 1 album has some nice tracks, but some are too cheesy for my taste. Not a classic album. Maybe I'm a bit tired of hearing so many times the same rhythms revoiced.

i don't really see what is cheesy about certain tunes, i'd certainly hear more cheesiness in most beres hammond albums.the vocals are extremely well rehearsed and sophisticated.As for the lyrics, well, yeah, basic love songs, just like many of the greatest soul hits,but don't they make up the biggest part of the reggae catalogue? well, it's all up to a matter of taste , anyway.

Thanks for the info peeps! that cut of satta (im brooks / cool it) is much harder than the original...also the dj piece "Man of creation" Jah Scotchie is an absolute killer, mixed in a dubplate style! gonna have to grab that cd... a shame they didn't put satta on a 7"! never happpy am i?
