IS this the one on a red Supreme label? If so I've had it for a few months now, courtesy of a top board lurker Essential S1 rarity business. Respect Gordy

yep, that's a killer one, even more so that LM's 60 's recordings that are not on the Studio1 album go for little fortunes these days. Some UK boot, eh

Ernie says "Excellent! Very clean pressing!" and the sleeve looks like all recent Studio One 10" reissues so I guess it's legal thing and ting. Does anybody possibly know if there are more Coxone 10" reissues on the way? I hastily ordered Larry Marshall 10" this morning and wouldn't like to see more of these things appearing in the next few days.

The 'Hip Hug' tune was released along with a number of other Studio 1 10" from the likes of Freddie McGregor, Winston Francis, Jckie Mittooo and Cornel Campbell on the Music Lab label in the early 1980s. The Larry Marshall issue on Supreme came out in 2004. Two of the tracks I already have; the other two I'd not heard previously and are both killers.

pretty much sure it is a european boot, which originally surfaced in the UK, if i'm correct : there would have been a reference to the current business of the Dodds otherwise, some contact or else.Official Studio One releases are rarely available in the UK first these days, they don't have a branch there.Well, if it's not from the UK, it's from somewhere else in Europe...Pretty much sure about it, besides you'd have heard much more about it had it been released by the Dodds in the US or JA.very few distros had been stocking it. There have been S1 boots regularly these last years : the 5 Winro 12"s or some recent Wailers & Rita Marley (at least some tunes were on studio 1), not to mention the "usual " comps and the Peckings stuff

couple things -- first, when i was in NYC a few months back and went to Music City with our friend Twice, Carol Dodd had mentioned finishing up some 10" to be shipped soon. i think we're in the right time frame for them now. second, the larry marshall turned up at Ernie's on the same day as another Music Lab 10", and third, the label of the LM piece at Ernie's is more a maroon/purple color than the red label shown above (see here: tinyurl.com/h4ntn)... so to summarize i think this one is legit.. don't know about the red-label UK version.. even possible now that the two 10" are different mixes................... arrrghhhhhhh --

Yeah the one on ErnieB has got to be a legit issue. The red label one wasn't.
