Nice list Marc! I have 4 out of those 10, don't know the others but I will have to look out for them. I would have to add Love Her Forever on Pow Pow, and my current Turbulence fave, Dem a Nu Rasta on Grillaras to your list. Just saw Mark T for a bit last Thursday and picked up some criss new copies of your Best of 2005 discs which I'm currently working my way through and enjoying very much indeed...which brings us back to that Grillaras tune "no ifs, no maybes or buts/ can't be a rasta and your favourite place is Pizza Hut"

I'm not sure which one's I've got as they all sound the same to me. Doug, I was sat outside at the Starbucks on Friday morning enjoying some good company and admiring the snow capped mountains. I should have a definite answer this time next week but it looks almost certain that we'll be seeing you in July! Been listening to Ekki's weird set and quite enjoying it. Dubminister

no ifs, no maybes or buts/ can't be a rasta and your favourite place is Pizza Hut Yeah, funny thing about that line of his is that he has been using it live on stage for quite some time already. I have a few live shows out of JA from early 2005, late 2004 and he uses that line there too. I looked for it, but could never locate the tune with those lyrics up until late 2005 when they released this Dem A No Rasta with the lyrics, but a different riddim.

I can't belive I said that out loud - and on a reggae board too!
Actually Mass Distruction (sic) is one of my favourites.

He must have been working on those lyrics and trying them out in front of a live audience then before committing them to wax. Kind of neat to hear shows like that and get an insight into the artist's creative processes.

Next you'll be coming out with some other wind-up statement like Jackie Mittoo's playing sounds cheesy or some other such nonsense Good news on the move front...let me know when you hear for sure. Are you ordering any of the Fisherman singles btw? I wasn't going to but just listened to some samples and a couple of these are sounding not half bad at all.

Jackie Mittoo - pure cheddar as I would say I haven't decided about the Fisherman singles yet, they should make collectors item status but there is just too much good music to buy and not enough money. It is getting close to b'day time but I really need some new headphones, especially if I move to Langley which will not allow for loud sessions! My in-laws are in Barbados at the moment so I asked them to find out the price of Ja singles. Later, dm

I broke down and ordered the Fisherman singles as they seemed to be selling briskly (#1 on Ernie's best selling singles list for several days). As Mick said on Blood & Fire the shipping to Canada is cheaper now. $8.30 for 18 singles as opposed to the old flat rate of $12. I don't know how it would work out to mix different formats but it should now be possible to make more frequent but smaller (yeah right : orders and not have to make larger ones to justify the shipping charge. Fiyah bun the headphone ting! Throw open the windows over the summer and give the new neighbours a blast of roots'n'culture

Do they still hit you for GST and the ridiculous $5 handling fee on a smaller order? As for the headphone ting - I do want my neighbours to be friends..................or converted to a diet of pure roots! I also use the headphones for late night listening while the family is sleeping. Let me know what you think of the B&F singles. dm

I expect they will on an order of 18 7's, however if I make some smaller ones I might be able to slip the odd one by without any customs charges. I don't know what the dollar limit is that they allow for this so I will have to test it out. We will have to look into a joint OJ order if you make it out here, I think somebody once said the Fedex shipping was $30 US to N. America and then OJ also charges a $10 flat tax...so it would have to be a fairly large order to be worth it.
