This came as a surprise inclusion in the promo package that I recieved from Forced Exposure yesterday (Studio One 2 Soul and the Sound Dimension CDs are indeed killer). Not sure what the reggae vetrans who have been familiar with these tunes for years think, but when I listened last night and this morning, Sandy and Thirty Pieces Of Silver (with Yabby You) caught my attention.

I'm really looking forward to hearing that record. I missed most of the stuff that came out on maxi singles around that time, so I welcome every serious rerelease and compilation of them. (I was around, but I was young, geographically challenged, skint most of the time, and not quite aware of what was out there).

Some cracking huuuge basslines and extended versions on this one - would make a monster of a single cd (if they allowed me to do the selecting!) but isn't that always the way with double cds (a semi-rhetorical question there).

Listening to the CD, I wouldn't say that any of the selections on here will end up being my favorite Sugar Minott songs, but it's a sweet anthology of singles in showcase style.
