Trevor & co : mellodisc team (who exactly or did they license it ) Roy & Millie : prince Buster Errol Dixon (could it be Chris Blackwell???) Dandy : himself p Buster : himself L Clarke : Duke Reid (real title : Parapinto Boogie) i think i have already seen the Count Ossie tune credited with another name (Casavubu - named after the independentist African leader). Actually one of the earliest of Prince Buster's productions : Chubby by Bunny & Skitter. I don't really see the connection between the African leader and that nyabinghi love song, though! ; )

64 is a little later than most Caribs recordings, and Chris Blackwell was spending a fair bit of time in England with Millie that year, so, maybe not him.

Also, as it's on Blue Beat, it's unlikely that Island's boss would be licensing stuff to his competitor. Part of the reason Island UK got established was that CB went to England and saw his productions on sale.

I asked Dennis Sindrey from the Caribs :"I dont have an answer for you [who produced the "Little Schoolgirl"]. That group in England that called themselves "The Caribs" was not us. I come across them before, and I dont know who they are or were.
Later
Dennis"
So, "Mellodisc team" fits

Siggy Jackson probably produced that Caribs tune.

Yes, I'm pretty sure Siggy produced this for the company he helped run with Mr Shallit. He probably also produced a couple of records on the label by Syco And The Caribs. Syco is well known in the Soho clubs and is the brother of Lucky Gordon, the man who precipitated the Profumo affair in the early 80s.
