after a long time i discovered 2 really great hiphop albums from the classic old school period: Clever Jeff "Jazz hop soul" Dred Scott "Breaking combs" www.youtube.com/watch?v=qT0BLeCmGGUwww.youtube.com/watch?v=pOl7-3TN2HMboth 1994 albums are the closest thing to pete rock stylee you will ever discover. fucking great records. it seems dred scott did only this one album. maybe he did another under the name "Ahmad" because his voice sounds similar. if you see any of these cds in a 2nd hand shop make no mistake - buy them ! highly recommended.

I'm pleased to say that I have the Dred Scott album; discovered him through his productions for A d r ia n a Evans. He's not Ahmad, though. ;D Never heard of but will check Clever Jeff. Thanks Mario. Def Jef, Jazzy Jeff .. I guess all the best Jeff-related names were taken ... * Just noticed that A-d-r-i-a-n is on the swear filter and it was difficult to write A d r i a n a Evans.

That's interesting and sounds like a real grower. Must engage my YouTube downloader ting later. Thanks G. Haven't really had any money for buying music in the last year or so but my most recent Hip Hop purchase (still in the post) is 'Urbanelo', the album by the Butta Babees. Bought it off a Canadina eBay seller; it seems to be hard to find. Here's a track from it: www.youtube.com/watch?v=v_zo38ztj7E
