A thousand thanks, Zoks. I have six or seven versions of this wonderful song but this long languid rendering by Mahmoud Ahmed is probably my favourite, really gives the tune time to breathe. The female singer Bezawork Asfew also does the song glorious justice; her version may well be on one of the Ethiopiques discs. In fact, I vaguely recollect coming across a selection of versions of Tezeta on one of the African music blogs; I'll see if I can track down the link if it is still alive. Remember spending a very enjoyable hour listening to it; Mulatu Astatque was featured as well, I think.
