Bought the new album as a Valentine's Day present for the missus (didn't work, but never mind).
Quite good, as it goes.

Saw P J at the Troxy last night.
She sounded and looked very good in a hat made of bats and a skinny white dress. She played mainly songs off the new album. The band, including Sir Mick Harvey were impressive.
But her stage presence was zero. No screens up so unless you were tall it was v hard to see in the stalls. A lot of frustrated people around me, especially of the short and female variety.
Very serious business, a P J Harvey concert, I can tell you. Not much grooving, more like grieving.
Crtics loved it.

after pj's blood and fire homage, we have the kills jumping on the reggae bandwagon with their new single satellite. it sounds like it rips off fisherman by the congos. listen to it here, the "steal" starts about 58 secs www.youtube.com/watch?v=hniPVDz12bc
