brilliant night - hats off to all concerned. heaving underground bar with a really good sound system and top class selections ska through rock steady to reggae - very light on roots which was good news for me. missed the early runners but asher & tommy went hammer and tongs in a very civilized fashion for about three hours. others will spot-up the tunes on the night - i could count the ones i knew on the fingers of one hand. well done to richie & nick - a venue worth holding on to. too many faces in the crowd to mention but it was very nice to see claudia. cheers mr t.
sean originalites played some very well selected uptempo dub peices and such in a across the board set, which got the nod from rs digital who was there from the moment we put plugged the carts in the decks.
and chuckys's set was almost pure roots but in proper revival style, that singers, lovers, sweetman style, what chucky calls 'blessed selection' - and you would have loved it. believe.
as you say too many faces to recall at once, so'll just shout out the few board members i recognise for now - jon eden, tim p, plattsie, bbr, benja, inyaki, penny reel, lucky cat, supersonics...
best regards

I would like to echo Toby’s comments about a great night out.
The basement was an awkward shape but full to overflowing. No one was there by accident, it was all about enjoying the music. At times the atmosphere was INTENSE. Newbie Andy was extremely impressed.
Tommy revealed he is 32 years old. Wow!
Nice to see T, Claudia, Penny, Steve the Hat, Tim P,BBR and the rest.
Thanks and praise to Nick and Richie.

Yes, was a very enjoyable evenings entertainment. Quality tunes throughout from all selectors. Liked the venue. It was small bit I think that added to the atmosphere. I understand all these events need some 'passing trade' but was nice (and not in a snobby way) to have a committed crowd! Always a pleasure to see the ever-presents!!

another quality event, was relieved to be one of the last allowed in!
First impressions were that the venue was rammed, but actually that was more to do with opening the door and having everyone facing you. Plenty room to hold your corner and dance later on, which is what we did.
Crisp sound and top selections as usual, although I think I'm definitely a rocksteady man rather than a ska man after some years of reflection this crucial matter.
Great crowd also, what more do you want?
I missed it being at The Others because that's about 2 minutes from my flat, but this place is easy to get to and much more atmospheric.
Richie and Nick have definitely hit on a winning formula!
