I'm biased but thought I'd have a bit of fun and ask the question anyway. I think I've covered all the big reggae sounds - sorry if I missed anyone. ;D

No competition that one. Gladdys all the way. All genres covered and immaculately presented! One of the musical highlights of the year. Will be there. Am going to try and get down both days (something I have never managed). Last year matt bbr recommended I check out ' peoples sound' who if memory serves me correctly, used to have a shop on portobello road. Will try and hold back on the sunday, then trash and ready it sunday night and back to notters monday.. You down this year matt?

counting down here at the towers. i have weather anxiety this year after a good few dry ones but we shall see. logistics (always a consideration on the monday) favour the southern sites for me like observers and channel one & lord gellys at cambridge gardens at a pinch. I guess these will do again even though even i got a bit bored last year and also blew an ear-drum at observers. will try the schlep up to gladdys , energy & weather permitting. T.

having spend many years in a row coming in from the north (aba shanti) i'm now having easy access through notting hill where i will be around channel one / observer / gaz (and lord ambassador) area. difficult to argue with 3+1 sounds with such little effort. shame travel within the area is not easier but so it goes. Gaz is a wicked party sound which rarely gets any recognition from reggae fans. Big up gaz! My vote goes to channel one tho

Missing it for the first time getting on for 20 years to go to Festinho, where I'll do my best to recreate a little sound system vibe on Sunday. Still. all you really need to do is drink a bottle of rum, smoke 2 spliff and watch this Youtube of Steve! www.youtube.com/watch?v=d8Zd97Rgroc

Can anyone name that tune that Mistah Brown is playing please? Sounds like it could sound great.

Nice vibe on Sunday after the rain came lashing down and the sun came out. I loved the speakeasy setup for Gaz's Rockin Blues - they always make the effort and i love those styles Gaz. But I spent most of my afternoon with Jah Observer round the corner, lovely level atmosphere and some top tunes, especially the Sugar Minott selections.

dry, cool-ish but some late sun for the monday may have been me but numbers & congestion was more manageable this year.
surprised myself energy-wise with a full round of the usual suspects & some new ones to me - jeneration on powis terrace played some lovely 80s rare groove, volcano had all saints road blocked with phenomenal looking women clutching courvoisier not long after 2 with some top-notch bash/grime bassliners, tim and mr b had gladdys jumping helped by a superb (unamned) french mc, back down for a little of virgo at oxford gdns & some more lord gelly's at cambridge gdns who had already drawn a massive crowd by mid afternoon. paused for the new roots cause from the sound at jah vigo's store on all saints road before channel one (not saying much) and lord ambassadors (saying loads with a long coxsone selection) before settling in by observer's for the remainder. hard to sum up the appeal of jah observer but stood at the talbot road/ledbury road corner in late, low sun with the jerk smoke all around and a nice tune rolling out of his boxes is perfect carnival for me but make the most of it, next year is the sounds' last at notting hill.
big up to arty and friend, the tighten up boys and sharon by observers.
