yep tomorrow & can't wait. wassie's last year was a musical highlight of 2009, the crowd banging the drawn shop shutters for rewinds all afternoon. bunny wailer, tarrus riley & capleton to follow at the academy for those who love the stage shows. T.

another great afternoon - 4 sound systems around the streets & a big stage showcasing local young talent, countless jerk stalls, decent weather. less to do for kids so mse jnr packed off to nanny's for the later afternoon. spent the last three hours by 12/12 feat wassie one, curly b on the mike. did not quite touch the pandemonium of last year but excellent none the less. good tribute to sugar as you'd expect & top street party tunes from all the eras with rockers and rock steady being the most represented. T.

Thanks for the nod, Toby.
I did pencil this one in but the grandparents turned up from Melbourne etc etc so I had to make do with a trot around Coram Fields, the British Musuem and a few Belgian beers at Lowlander Covent Garden instead...
Hope you good.

I thought the sound quality was crap (no power, no clarity) compared to Gaffa / Nasty Rockers down the road. Also, unbearable mic man (or maybe is just me these days who can't stand people talking all the time?) and cutting records. Selection was a "beginners guide to Reggae" sometimes.... packed full of non- JA crowd....down the road they played many Black Uhuru /and early 80s Radics / Junjo dubplates....until the bashment started....and we left. Just a personal opinion.
