Greetings GreedyGsters...
If you all are anywhere near Holland and appreciate Roots Reggae music, I would highly reccomend checking out one of the bands I work with called Bambu Station.
I'll throw up some live Bambu Station from a performance at Sierra Nevada last year. It looks like they will be hitting London and other markets as well later this summer.....
(Washington, D.C.) - The roots reggae faithful of Holland, Belgium and Germany
will begin their Reggae Festival season early this year. On March 22, 2006, the
energetic and beloved roots reggae band Bambu Station of St. Croix, Virgin
Islands will be making the trod across the Atlantic to perform songs from their
award-wining album "One Day," "Talkin' Roots I" and their forthcoming album
"Break The Soil" which is scheduled for release in Spring 2006.
Bambu Station first performed in Europe in August 2005 along with veteran St.
Croix singer Iba and amazed the audiences at the Bitterzoet in Amsterdam, the
KWAKOE Surinam Festival, the Rastaplas Festival and several other venues that
introduced the band to European reggae fans. The band's manager, Hector Rosario
stated, "The band has had an enormous impact on most audiences it has performed
for because the band is quite unique in their subject matter and their overall
vibe is very, very captivating."
This second tour will feature Bambu Station exclusively and is a precursor to
their extended European Tour already scheduled for August 2006 where they will
perform in France, Germany, Holland, Belgium and London. Said Jalani Horton,
lead singer of the band, "In a short time, we have been very fortunate to travel
to distant lands and meet many beloved people on this Earth. Their excited
reactions and interest lets us know our concerns are shared and so we are
motivated to move forward in this vain. Convicted, positve and humbled."
Reggae fans can look forward to lengthy shows showcasing the musical style and
singing of one of St. Croix's best bands. Bambu Station has appeared to much
excitement at top festivals such as the Sierra Nevada World Music Festival,
Dread Stock Festival, Monterey Bay Festival, New World Passover Festival, St.
Croix's Unity Festival and has performed in Israel, Mexico, Hawaii and countless
cities and venues in the continental U.S. The year 2006 will see the band return
to Israel and Europe and break new ground in Brazil, Puerto Rico, Mexico and the
U.S. southwest and mid-west regions. Booking inquiries should be made directly
to Hector Rosario at 1-678-887-1912 or hector@mtneborecords.com.
