Bedward's post made me think of the following; I've had the misfortune of being asked three times to do the music for weddings. For someone as obsessed with music as I am, this is quite a task. Perfectionism doesn't help. Anyway, My older brother is getting married this summer in the mountains of Colorado (way, way, way up) and I am going to do a very summery mix of music, with a lot of african stuff, especially some of the African Serenades which Grumpy was so kind as to send to me (thanks again) and then some hawaiian slack-key acoustic guitar music, classical, jazz, and some relaxed JA stuff. It's going to be outside, up in the mountains, and it is pretty much always sunny there in the summer, save for short sun showers. It will be a very happy and relaxed bunch of people. I don't have a finalized mix, but THIS will be my African (plus) party mix. It's nice to do something for a wedding that goes beyond jazz, classical, and classic jazz/pop, as much as I love those things.
