absolutely nowhere... just dedicate yourself to uncovering more breaks!
the use of samples in hip-hop has helpfully filtered through 99.9% of any particular artists' dross [esp 70's jazz-funk] and have already turned up the best 4sec of breakbeat magic that can set a dancefloor alight.

I have that album and one from 1975, but apart from Speaking and Nunya they're a bit cheezy for me. I have two of his late 60s Prestige Lps and these are nice, but obviosly very different. If you liked Sneaking... I recomend you check early Bob James Lps

Thanks Stephen...I picked up the Union Square 2CD of his first 4 LPS. Can't say I'm as into them as the Crusaders LPs I found ont he weekend...anyway I'm enjoying the smuttzy Jazz-funk fusion even if its not heavyweight....
Whilst I get your point Richie I don't have a limited attention span of the younger folks so I don't need breaks every 5 seconds...

I liked Tom Scott's 1977 LP "Blow It Out" (U.K. Epic EPC82285) enough to commit it to cassette tape, Matt - a sure sign that it was a favourite (I could play cassettes at work ). I was also buying the Crusaders' stuff at the time too ("Free As The Wind" LP is an absolute favourite of mine) and other such Jazz-Funk I can't remember the tunes beyond "Gotcha" (the Starsky & Hutch theme), but here's the full track listing:
