I heard a French song not so long back that i think was made sometime between 68-74. I don't know the name of the song, but what stood out was the sound of thunder & lightning just before the chorus kicked in, followed by a sadness of loss.
The lyrics I can remember goes like this: Tell me what to do I'm so in love with you (Refrein:) La la la la, I love you.
Anybody recall the song?

Francois and the Mitterands - My secret lover - on the Amour cache record label, Paris 69 (the thunder is the sound of the pavement being ripped up by students, and the lightning a fart being lit by Jean Paul Sartre....FACT

apart from the thunder claps, i can think of at least several thousands songes bearing such lyrics. Wouldn't it be Sacha Distel, by any chance ? i am a FRENCH music lover but not a FRENCH MUSIC lover, sorry. you can always try CArlos : Big Bisou , Tout nu et tout bronzé or Tirlipimpon sur le chihuahua.tough reality lyrics there! Pierre Perret : le Zizi, those are the real roots, man! Annie Cordy's La Bonne du Curé is a certified gem too, though she is belgian : The vicar's maid, well kinky, eh ?

I have a CD of French covers of American soul hits by the likes of Sylvie Vartan and Johnny Halliday.
It's popular on a Belgian oldies music scene known as "Popcorn". Strange scene, it seems only lush well produced songs with lots of strings are allowed!

Yep, thats it. Many thanks.
Ekki, seriously enough, are Studio 1 Discomix series Vol 1 - 20 official release or its been compiled by Juha?
Same question about Studio 1 Archive Vol 1 - Vol 40

I thought so. There was a friend of mine yesterday at my place, and he borrowed a bunch of S 1 discs. I told him that they are not official releases but he went on Roots Archive com, and there he found all 20 S 1 Discomixes listed on that site, even with the cover-sleeves.
I thought Benja has started a repress-label.
Thanks for clearing things up.
