Some of those "aren't very good", pace mate...IMHO
Ray Martell's SHE CAUGHT THE TRAIN b/w TONY B'S THEME (originally on Joe) got another release on Sioux (SI012)
Sammy Jones did a cover of WORRIED OVER YOU ...a grand song whoever records it - the B side of Pharaoh's Walk (Sioux SI001)

I have the catalogue for this label and there's very little good on it, just the Joe Higgs tunes and the brilliant Phyllis Dillon all you sidewalk fans. 'Cock Mouth Kill Cock' credited to The African but I think by The Ethiopian is another good track, as is Lloyd Daley's variation on 'The Train'. Can't say I know of 'Make It Reggae', unless of course you mean the Ernest Wilson cut on Mudie, which I know is in big demand.

Errol T - "I Need You Now" is quite a nice version of "Let The Music Play" by the Flames and thought Jackie Rowland - "Indian Reservation" is not too bad either out the ones not mentioned already.

I agree with Scotty. An easy rule of thumb is if it's a UK production avoid it and only go for JA producer's work such as Duke Reid and Harry J.

Depending by how charmed by Engine 54 you are, the Matador's pass at the riddim is not considered bad on my turntable.

I've a bit of a soft spot for Sammy Jones, after getting loads of those Sioux singles in packs of fifty assorted records from Oldies Unlimited in Telford in the early '80s. Sold them in the '90s, which I regret to this day. Did get his album Reggae On My Mind at a fair yesterday though

Aaah Oldies Unlimited! I still have some Banana label singles & some Good Vibrations punk singles that I bought as a pack from them in the early 80's.

The tracklist of the first post is from roots-archives.com/release/516. I chased that down after hearing My Sugar Ain't Sweet on a Rock-A-Shacka podcast. Not too bad a compilation I would say. Joe Higgs is included. That's enough for me.
