www.asucd.ucdavis.edu/radio/guides/kdviations-winter06.pdfOn page 20, I review the Travellers 7"s on Pressure Sounds, Soul Jazz' Studio One Women, and Auralux's Sufferation release. I know by posting the link, I'm exposing myself to having my historical inaccuracies, reggae novice insight, and other miscellaneous mistakes pointed out to me... I'm assuming that most readers of our program guide won't be hardcore reggae fans, so I tried to write the reviews so that, even if they weren't familiar with the music, they might still be able to get an idea of what it's like to hear them. It's a cool thing to DJ and play music at community radio stations and even get published. I encourage anyone who has a similar opportunity to go for it! ;D

thanks I D. I'm typically very self critical of what I write but have learned to just do my best and hope that it comes across to other people and maybe even inspires them to check out some music that they haven't heard before.
angelgabriel,
glad to check out your reviews. i've wondered about that Junior Delgado CD that you wrote about. I love Sons Of Slaves, but I really haven't heard much of his output beyond that. I know that I have a song of his on one of the DEB anthology CDs that I have, but it fell far short of Sons Of Slaves in my opinion. I'd read another review of the Trojan anthology that suggested that Delgado's best recordings were produced by Augustus Pablo, but since I really haven't looked into it, I'm not even sure which releases Augustus Pablo collaborated with Delgado on.
Always more to learn and to hear!

raggamuffin year is one he did with pablo. sound is fairly modern but it grew on me like nobodys business
i would also recommend "taste of the young heart" on incredible music. no pablo connection on most or all of these but great lp all the way through.
one love llib haj

Quite a lot of Junior Delgado's music has been reissued last year on the late singer's own Incredible Music label - including "Raggamuffin Year" which originally came out on Mango and was unavailable for ages.
