For the first show we're gonna take a musical time machine from ska via rocksteady to early reggae and then onwards through the roots and culture explosion of the 1970's, the booming dancehall of the early 1980's and then finish up with a smattering of digital roots and current tuneage. So much to choose from, so it's gonna be a tough selection, but your feedback and comments will give me the pointers I need to take the show in the right musical direction. One love.

So many goodies in between as well, so tune in at www.level-1.org.uk and click on Listen Live to participate. 9-11pm and don't be Late !-) The Previous two shows can be heard at www.reggaemattic.podbean.com/ which has the advantage of not running out of bandwidth so you will never get a 'this user has exceeed their quota for this month' message. The last show put up on PodOMatic ran out of the free badwidth in just over 24 hours !

In the middle we'll be spending a bit of extra time around 1969-70 and concentrating on some of the boss skinhead sounds of that era, hopefully not the same ones that are played to death elsewhere, 'cos me nah follow fashion monkey, seen ?

ReggaeMATTic Radio - Wednesday 3rd October 2012 9-11 pm UK time. All album tracks this week, trying wherever possible to avoid singles releases although I'm not bright enough to know generally whether a track was released as a 45 or not. The selection will include some early material but I expect the Fickle Finger of Fate will be selecting mainly Roots and Culture and some early non-digi dancehall for your musical delectation. Don't miss it !-) www.level-1.org.uk

Upcoming Broadcast Thursday 27th June from 9:00 to 11:00 pm at www.level-1.org.ukUnfortunately, ReggaeMATTic Radio has become a bit random due to work commitments and so forth so it is now more of an occasional thing. However, there is nothing like a bit of motivation to invest some preparation, and as I was lucky enough to purchase a few tunes last weekend I thought I would share with you some of the vinyl delights that I had not previously heard (or at least consciously heard) up to that time. There may well be a few 'big tunes' sprinkled amongst them, but the whole point for me is the revelation of new sounds. As usual we journey from ska times, but the bulk of the show will be 70's roots on Jamaican pressings complete with crackle, noise and some off centredness. I'm looking forward to it already.

Tonight at 9:00 - www.level-1.org.ukPresenting another selection of quite rare but possibly unremarkable 7-inch singles audibly displaying the wear and tear of the intervening years in the form of snap, crackle and pop. We do at least try to bring you tunes you may not have heard before, and with the vague possibility that you might wish to hear them again you can find them by searching for ReggaeMATTic radio on podbean.com . Of course you do realise that it is important that you listen live on the 24th July at 9:00 pm so that the music will hit you (you will feel no pain) without the cushion of a previously published track list.

www.level-1.org.ukReggaeMATTic 23rd January 2014 09:00 PM to 11:00 PM * This event ignores DST Mountpoint: /radio Once again, a fully selected show this time featuring some of those discomix and combination style releases on the laaarge format from 1977 to 1985. This is probably going to end up being a contentious counterpoint juxtaposition between the roots and the lovers rock. We may trim off some of the dubs if they don't quite match up to the vocal quality, but otherwise it's the full length extended mix all the way, ReggaeMATTic style !
