Africa Oye was cancelled due to inclement weather but, as it turned out, work commitments would have prevented my going anyway. So the answer from me is "no", Ronald. Sorry.

Hi Ronald - Matt posted the pic below on Facebook, with the caption 'Malako Disco!! Fuzzy blackberry image from the wonderfully intimate London performance of Samba Mapangala and Orchestra Virunga.'I don't think he'll mind me reposting. R

What a pity, finally there is a nice festival and the weather spoils it all, it is just like in Holland, people organise all sorts of things during the summer months but you are lucky if the weather is nice .

R Thanks for posting this Rob but it is not possible to recognise anyone.
Hopefully the weather is good next week because Samba then plays at an open air festival here. As it will take me two hours by train to get there I shall only go if I'm sure it does not rain.

All I can say is WOW! I never thought I would have the privilege of hearing one of my all time favourites playing some of my desert island tunes. And in a lovely intimate venue with top notch sound system. Awesome evening of music renewing my faith in the power of love and giving.
