Earlier today I was having a beer by way of parenthesis during a soily day clearing bindweed on my allotment (the beer was the Salamander Brewery's Dark Dora, a man-eating but palatable dame weighing in at 4.5%). As I supped my ale meditatively I fell to ruminating about some of the better gigs I had been to during my life (perhaps driven to such nostalgic musings by the half-baked landfill emanating from the pub's 'sound system'). Certainly up there amongst the top five concerts would be Nic Jones whom I saw in, about, 1972. I still think this particular song is preposterously wonderful: www.youtube.com/watch?v=uJ_MdH1d_Wo

Good choice.
I saw him once during the 1970's somewhere in London and it was one of the best performances I saw of a folk artist.
I do still have all the original lp's he released.
